The growth of modern coins and in particular gold coins has been extensive over the last five or so years. We also have these encapsulated and graded by NGC, which is important for achieving strong prices for certain editions. Sovereign and limited editions can now command a strong premium if they are given a strong grade. A recent sale of Royal Mint collection in our auction totalling £70,000 shows the interest in this area.
