The Coin Department at C&T has built a strong reputation and following over the past few years with numismatic dealers and collectors all over the world.
From Roman, Celtic and Ancient Greek examples, through hammered Medieval, to modern proof sets, coins, banknotes and tokens. C&T has a strong record with some notable sales achieved for the vendors, in particular a British India George V Proof Rupee set, one of only five known, sold for £19,500 together with a fantastic British Halfcrown collection of 55 coins totalling £40,000. We've also recently sold a modern Royal Mint proof collection for £70,000, showing the increasing popularity of modern coinage.
