Other Services
Probate & Insurance
We at C&T regularly offer Probate valuations for our clients and their solicitors. Following your enquiry and after initial details are taken, you will speak to one of our valuers and they will discuss with you your requirement. We will also discuss our fees and then arrange a convenient time to meet at the property.
The valuations will be provided in an ‘open market’ structure and in accordance with Section 160 of the Inheritance Tax Act of 1984. Any items over £500 will be listed individually and the remainder listed under a general ‘global’ listing. Any items saleable under £500 will still be recorded. A report will be produced for the executors and in the event of the beneficiaries or executors wishing to dispose of the items then we can provide a complete sales service. This entails arranging collection, appropriate auction assignment and advice on reserves, making a smooth sales process.
