Specialist (Modern & Collectible Toys)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Cataloguer and Valuer in Modern & Collectible Toys to join our Vintage & Collectible Toys department. This is a full-time position, based in our offices in Kenardington (nr. Ashford) in the beautiful Kent countryside! The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, friendly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, amongst a growing team working to ever strengthen our position in this competitive market!
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the department in valuing, curating, cataloguing, and processing items for auction.
- Dealing with clients and assisting with department administration including email/telephone enquiries.
- Develop business contacts, opportunities, and developing sales strategies with Head of Department.
- Assisting in marketing efforts by providing key insights into auctions and providing information for press & marketing.
- Participate in events such as Toy Fairs, Valuation Days, and other functions representing C&T.
- Generally assisting in the Toy Department.
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable interest/knowledge in Modern & Collectible Toys, or a willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Previous Auction House experience preferred but not essential!
- Must hold a full driving licence due to rural location.

General Auction House Porter
The opportunity for a varied and interesting full-time role within our auction house has arisen as a General Auction House Porter! The ideal candidate will be friendly, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Specialists across various departments.
- Assisting with the packing and despatch of lots.
- Liaising with clients.
- All-round auction day duties.
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
Skills & Experience:
- Good organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and progress within the business.
- Previous Auction House experience preferred but not essential!
- Must hold a full driving licence due to rural location.
