C&T Auctioneers and Valuers were established in 2013 as a Specialist Auction House of Fine Militaria and Vintage Toys. It has since expanded and now has other departments including Dolls, Coins, Watches and Jewellery and, most recently, Pop Culture. We run as an Online Only Auction House from our offices in Kenardington, near Ashford, in Kent.

Specialist Cataloguer & Valuer (Antique & Modern Jewellery)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Cataloguer and Valuer in Antique & Modern Jewellery to join our team. This is a full-time position, based in our offices in Kenardington (nr. Ashford) and remotely. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, friendly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, amongst a growing team working to ever strengthen our position in this competitive market!

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing support to the department in valuing, curating, cataloguing, and processing items for auction.

- Dealing with clients and assisting with department administration including email/telephone enquiries.

- Develop business contacts, opportunities, and developing sales strategies with Head of Department.

- Assisting in marketing efforts by providing key insights into auctions and providing information for press & marketing.

- Participate in events such as Exhibitions, Valuation Days, and other functions representing C&T.

 

Education:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

 

Skills & Experience:

- Demonstrable interest/knowledge in Antique & Modern Jewellery, or a willingness and ability to learn quickly.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

- Previous Auction House experience preferred!

- Must hold a full clean drivers licence & possess own transport due to rural location. (Free on-site parking).

This is a full-time position, based in our offices in Kenardington (nr. Ashford) in the beautiful Kent countryside! The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, friendly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, amongst a growing team working to ever strengthen our position in this competitive market!

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing support to the department in valuing, curating, cataloguing, and processing items for auction.

- Dealing with clients and assisting with department administration including email/telephone enquiries.

- Develop business contacts, opportunities, and developing sales strategies with Head of Department.

- Assisting in marketing efforts by providing key insights into auctions and providing information for press & marketing.

- Participate in events such as Toy Fairs, Valuation Days, and other functions representing C&T.

- Generally assisting in the Toy Department.

 

Education:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

 

Skills & Experience:

- Demonstrable interest/knowledge in Modern & Collectible Toys, or a willingness and ability to learn quickly.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Auction House Assistant

We require an additional member to join our busy auction house logistics team! Flexible hours, to be worked on an ad hoc basis. Monday – Friday (very occasional weekend work).​

 

The Main Duties of the role will include (but are not limited to);

- Packing & Shipping Lots

- Organising Lots On Site

- General Housekeeping

- Assisting on Auction Day

- Collection of Lots for Auction

 

Skills & Experience:

- Good communication skills.

- Be able to work well as part of a team.

- Have a good level of physical fitness as lifting and handling are required.

- Good IT skills.

- Auction House experience, especially in packing, is desirable however we do offer training.

- Must hold a full clean drivers licence & possess own transport due to rural location. (Free on-site parking).​​
