Whether you are new to the world of auctions or it's something that has become second nature to you, C&T are guaranteed to make the whole process a smooth ride from start to finish. Selling through C&T could not be easier, we have a simple step-by-step guide to easily get your items in our auctions.

Valuation

Whether you have a whole collection that you are looking to sell or just one particular item, we are here to offer you free, no-obligation valuations. Our valuation process comes in different forms so that you can select the one to best suit you. You can get in touch today either by telephone or email where we can arrange valuing your items at our office (Unit 4 High House Business Park, Kenardington, Nr Ashford, Kent, TN26 2LF)

Alternatively, we do offer home visits by prior appointment should your items be too large, too numerous or you are simply unable to bring them to us.

We also have an online valuation process which requires you to fill out our questionnaire, upload any images you may have of the item(s) in question and, upon submitting, await the appropriate specialist's response. We aim to get back to you with the week, but during busy times it may take a little longer.

Lastly, we hold open specialist valuation days at various locations within the South East. Information for these can be found on our Upcoming Valuations Day web page, and are advertised online.

Charges

C&T auctioneers have a simple fee structure, which is one-fee-covers-all. Not only is our fee one of the lowest for a specialist auction house in the UK but we do NOT charge for valuing, cataloging, photographing or promoting. You simply pay one commission charge (18% + VAT, 21.6% inclusive) on the hammer price of your lots. This is only charged when your items have been sold, all items are covered under our insurance.

No sale, no fee!

Cataloguing

Once we have valued your items and you are happy to consign, our team will get to work in preparing your item(s) for auction. Our expert will describe your item(s) for our online catalogue, the lot(s) will then be photographed, for both colour illustrated print and online purposes.

Promotion

With the growth in Internet and print promotion, we may select your item to have its own promotional campaign; this will include social media coverage through our Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter pages, or our Youtube channel. We also have had national and international newspaper, magazine & TV coverage of lots sold through our auction, see our media pages for more details.

Pre Auction & Post Auction

Prior to the auction you will receive a seller statement. We send printed promotional catalogues/brochures to our database of clients, which includes international and national collectors.

In the days following the sale you will receive a statement detailing your lots and the hammer prices they have achieved at auction. Once we have received full payment on all of your lots from the buyers, usually 30 days after the sale, payment will be forwarded to you minus our commission fees.

Our goal is simple – To achieve the best price for you!
