Diecast Dupes!

From the late 1960s, several Indian companies began manufacturing diecast models: Maxwell, Milton and Nicky Toys. Many of these toys produced were re-editions / close copies of the popular Matchbox, Corgi and Dinky toy model cars / commercials. Despite their attempts to replicate the models, the finish of the Indian-made replicas did not match the quality of their British counterparts!

Now, many years on, despite not being the real thing, these diecast dupes are widely appreciated by collectors as possessing a certain charm and rarity!
