C&T Auctioneers will be selling the Collection of the Late Michael “Mickey” Baldwin
It was with great sadness that earlier this year I lost a great friend and the hobby of Militaria collecting lost one of its most knowledgeable members.
Micky over the last 50 years built up one of the finest collections of Imperial German militaria in the world. That is a bold statement to make as there are a number of very good collections out there but Mickeys took some beating. Due to Micks profession, he had a great understanding of how items were made, he spent his life studying and handling items of militaria and as such any item that was not 100% perfect did not make it into his collection.
Mickey never had a bad word to say about anyone and everybody who ever met him liked him. He was always keen to share his knowledge with other collectors and could spot a rare Imperial German item from 1000 yards.
It is an honour to have been asked to sell Mickeys collection and I hope that I can do him proud.
The first auction will take place on Wednesday 31st January 2018.
